Junior Psychologist

Whether it’s crossing the street, opting for self-checkout at the store, taking public transport or walking through a crowded pedestrian area – our daily lives are now laden with automation. Unfortunately, this increased level of automation doesn't correlate with how much the machine understands human behaviour.

Humanising Autonomy develops technology built around people. We teach machines to understand human behaviour so that any human/machine interaction is safer, more efficient, effective – and importantly, more human.

We are looking for a Junior Psychologist who is passionate about applying psychometric and experimental design principles to assure high quality of the data labels.You will be part of a team that builds machine learning models to understand and predict human intentions in social interactions from video data.

Many AI (Machine learning) systems require an enormous amount of data that must be annotated by human labellers. We build AI systems that predict complex human behaviour like intentions, emotions, engagement, or awareness. The quality assurance of those labels is crucial for machine learning model development.

This will initially start as a 6 month contract position with possible continuation.

What you will be doing

• The building of data annotation pipelines

• Computing validity and reliability measures (psychometry)

• Data labeling

We are looking for someone who has

• Bachelor or Master in Psychology, Cognitive Science, or related field

• Experience with psychometry and experimental design

Nice to Have

• Experience with programming language (ideally python)

• Interest in statistics and AI (machine learning)

The role will involve large responsibility and autonomy within the company, and require the ability to work both independently as well as part of a creative core team of designers, data scientists, and engineers.
